IC INFORMATION
Characters Name: Vergil (no last name)
Age: 20
Canon:
Canon Point: End-game of Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening before his loss to Mundus
Species: Human (Half-demon if you want to be precise)
Gender: Male
Orientation:
Vergil easily gives off the airs of an asexual type but were he forced into a situation like this, he would probably be more comfortable with a woman. It's not so much that he has a problem with men, it's just that Vergil lacks any actual social development and has never experienced a relationship. He doesn't see marriage through a romantic standpoint, he sees it more as what it was probably intended for: procreation. Child bearing are what women are used for and that's all he could possibly see a woman as to begin with.

History: HERE
Appearance: HERE
Personality:
Vergil is a complex character in regards to emotions and the reasoning behind his strong feelings and perspectives towards the world. Born from a human mother and the Dark Knight Sparda, he is constantly in a battle with his own existence unable to find a balance between the two. Unlike his twin brother, Vergil's pleasant stay in hell has made him embrace his fathers heritage making him lean towards heavily suicidal approaches to solving or conquering most of his problems in order to compensate for his birth. He feels he needs to prove he is strong due to whatever human blood still runs through his veins, he feels it's a weakness. What better way of proving his strength than by taking the hard road to his destination? Unfortunately, his actions and directions are never quite virtuous.

Vergil kills without mercy and only does deeds he deems beneficial to his own purpose. He no longer holds much value in things that are right and wrong, there are only things he can do to make things better or easier for him. He feels above human law and above that of whatever rulings hell has for demons (since being a half-demon automatically puts him in the bottom of the ranking). Vergil will kill for the simplest reasons (someone annoying him, someone acting out or impeding him as has been canonically portrayed) but he won't kill senselessly. That's not to say Vergil is above killing children because he can easily slaughter a crowd of them if he sees a reason to do it. Everything just has to have a purpose. To Vergil, Humans are worse then vermin, demons are cowards in his eyes- he considers himself superior to any creature in existence. Even through the pompous and intellectual airs he tends to carry about with him tend to blind him of certain truth's, there is always the traces of his own self pity and shame that keep him moody and upset. He doesn't talk much to others unless he finds it necessary. He doesn't believe in simple things like teamwork or friendship or nothing as complicated as love or emotions since he tends to oppress any emotions because he considers them a 'human weakness'.

Vergil can come off as quite a cold and collected individual at first glance. He's also known to be rather temperamental. His internal rage; according to Vergil himself, is basically centered on his own twin brother Dante, whom he blames for the 'weakness' of his soul (being the human portion he tends to ignore). Dante, with his incomprehensible affection towards humans stands as a monument Of Vergil's malice. He was their mothers favorite, the mother that gave them the filth cursing through their veins, and the thing he feels holds both of them back. He cannot fathom why Dante embraces weakness when Vergil tries so hard to banish it with his strength. That being said, he also does love his brother: another emotion he possibly blames his human side. Regardless of his many attempts at assassinating his brother or just causing him grievances and hell, his continued interest in Dante (whether it be positive or not) is still there regardless of how much he might preach he dislikes him. He can't stay away from Dante. There is always something there that stops him from applying the final blow. Even when Dante was at his mercy atop the Temen-ni-gru, he didn't finish the job. He just couldn't. If anything, Dante gained his powers due to his hesitation. Vergil tends to close himself from all human emotions but just as Dante has a weak spot in his heart for his twin brother, so does Vergil. That is why he will haunt him to the ends of the world until he gains the strength to defeat him. Think of Dante's death as a type of liberation to his own personal discord. Every time he fails in doing so, he blames the human in him. The more he tries and fails, the more power he tries to gain that will untimely make him emotionless and free. Being able to kill Dante will mean that Vergil has, in fact, cast away all of his human heritage.

When it comes to people as will be the case of joining a game, he will tend to stay silent or simply ignore most. If there is no personal gain in a conversation or a situation, then he will consider carrying conversation a waste of his time. Living in hell has made him quite the anti-social body and his perception towards humans especially has been misconstrued. He finds humans to be either lazy and pathetically deceitful with interests only in lust, greed, and material desires. That's not to say that Vergil won't be inbolbed in social matters, humans make good puppets. He's not above deceiving. Vergil is also known to be very blunt. With his higher-than-thou attitude from time to time, he would more than likely make comments or remarks at people just because he feels entitled to it. He's better than everyone and obviously knows better than them, etc.

Abilites:
    Super Devil Strength
Because Vergil was born a half demon, his natural human strengths are not necessary nullified but multiplied. Due to his blood lineage, Vergil has inherited a demons super human strength. Whether he be holding it or being put though it, Vergil is able to withstand more weight than the average human. He is able to inflict more damage with one punch making it a close approximation to being thrown against a brick wall at high speeds. He can propel himself easily and kick off from the ground in a very high jump or make long leaps He has incredible agility and dexterity. Vergil can easily move around a battleground dodging with complicated moves and is more than capable of pulling off some acrobatic stunts. Vergil has the ability to hold his breath for long periods of time, making it seem as if he can breath under water. Because of his high stamina, he has a very high tolerance to damage. It will take more than just bullets to take him out or several hundred hits. He's a walking killing machine, calling him a human would be more than an understatement. His senses have been literally multiplied exponentially making him capable of surpassing even the most gifted animals and their traits.

The 'common side effects' to these given abilities are mostly in actions. What one would find normal to human behavior changes drastically for Vergil. His diet must consist of a high caloric intake and he seldom sleeps due to him abnormally feeling rested after a couple of hours. He is capable of staying awake for several days without feeling tired depending on what activities he got himself through.

    Super Devil Speed
Alongside having very quick reflexes, Vergil has an incredibly high level of speed. While in combat, he can move from one end of the battlefield to the other with nothing but a seconds notice. His reflexes are faster than average and his movements are alike. When it comes to running, Vergil can really speed up his pace. When it comes to his weapons, he can use his speed to his advantage by either impaling someone a thousand times with his sword, dodging out of am attack with an incredible counterstrike.

With his DARKSLAYER ability, Vergil can 'teleport' or at least move very quickly that it seems he's teleporting. He can also fly and summon a set of highly destructive swords known as 'summoning swords' (these are more commonly used as long range weapons)

    Healing Abilities
There is only one known way to effectively kill a demon and quite frankly, it's more easily said than done. It is said that by removing a demons heart, the beast will die because it will lose its ability to regenerate. That being said, Vergil can take an incredibly high amount of damage. From bullets lodged directly into his skull to numerous impaled scythes- Vergil can take it all. His ability to heal works almost the instant he becomes injured, however, it has a set speed. Vergil can reach a state where his body has taken too much damage for his healing abilities to heal quickly. The process may lag and Vergil can fall into a death-like period until the healing catches up to a workable body but such moments have been rare.

    Various Fighting Styles
Throughout the years, Vergil has picked up several skills that have marked him as quite the exceptional fighter. Most of them revolve around a mastery of an array of weapons, the sword being his major forte. He is also skilled in hand-to-hand combat that in combination with his other abilities, can easily make him a force to be reckoned with. He is a master at swordplay, defensive skills, and acrobatic maneuvers without sacrificing speed.

    Devil Trigger
With the abilities given to him be his father's bloodline, he also has one final ability that marks him as a supreme unholy being: Devil Trigger. All the essence of their demonic heritage concentrates in this period. His body grows quite exponentially and takes up a strange style of blue scales, sharp teeth, claws, and bug-like wings. Every ability Vergil possesses in his 'normal' state is multiplied ten fold. His strengths are fairly comparable to no one making him almost invincible. His speed accelerates, and most importantly his regeneration ability multiplies so as to make it almost seem like he isn't getting hurt (that is, if an attack can get past the thick scaly armor of his). During Devil Trigger, Vergil has the ability to fly and his summoning swords increase in damage, quantity, and size. The guy is seriously over ten feet. It's huge.

Other: I feel sorry for whatever girl ends up chosen for his wife. And then I don't.

SAMPLES
First Person:
    What's the meaning of this.

[It wasn't like Vergil to lose consciousnesses like this. He couldn't remember ever having the feeling most humans would consider grogginess after a nap and he certainly didn't remember this house or this chair. He rubbed the back of his neck, that position on that chair had been most uncomfortable.]

They say these devices allow you to communicate with others, I want to speak to the one responsible for this.

[It hadn't taken him long to realize his precious sword had been taken and had spent most of his time looking. There was nothing on this porch and now Vergil had given himself a headache.]

You take my sword, you throw me in a place I don't recognize, and then you rip me of my strengths. Having abilities muffled like this is incredibly irritating. Do you fear me that much or do you simply wish to have the upper hand regardless of the situation?

Pathetically shameful. I will have my compensation.

Third Person:
Hell had never had such commodities as the human world did. Truth be told, Vergil hadn't been inside a residential home in years. Since he was six, in fact. The architecture wasn't like his previous home but it was enough to annoy him with repressed memories. He detested what was left of his childhood, living in homes was a human thing to do. He made his way through the halls, his boots making ominous sounds on the polished floor. They told him this place belonged to him but he didn't want it. He felt out of place.

The kitchen was big, ironically. Was he expected to cook? The family life wasn't for a demon. Not for him. He leaned against the cabinet, taking one last look at the sterile sight of the room. He just couldn't stand this place. Powerless and in a place he didn't know, matters couldn't get any worse. First thing's first: find out who brought him here. He would have to figure out a way to get his powers back but after that, he would kill those responsible and even then some. For good measure. What could he say? A little blood shed was never a bad thing.
